My Master Bathroom

Have I ever mentioned that my master bathroom doesn't have a shower?  It kind of blew my mind when we first looked at the house, but now I'm used to showering in the hall bathroom.  And even though I really haven't minded, we've spent three years talking on and off about an awesome bathroom renovation.  I honestly never thought it would happen.  But this past month, the demo began.  And now there is no turning back!!

Here is a picture I took of my master bathroom a month or so ago.
See, no shower.  And as far as this tub is concerned, I never once even turned that faucet on!
It was pretty fun to watch Todd rip the bathroom apart.  A few years ago, I might have been nervous, but now I know that Todd can pretty much do anything, so now I'm just excited about how it's going to look when it's done.

Goodbye bathtub.
Goodbye mirror and sink.  And toilet.  And disgusting carpet.  Who puts carpet in their bathroom anyway?!?!
Hello space that used to be my bathroom!  Um yeah, like I said...no going back now!
We have plans for a double vanity and a really big nice shower.  We picked out the tile for the floor and shower and have possible cabinet options planned out.  We have ideas for the kind of sinks we want, the counter tops.  We've priced most of the stuff we need too.  Add a fan to the bathroom.  How about a skylight?  Oh man, it's gonna be good!  But it is going to take a long time.  This isn't a quick project.  Because my amazing hubby is doing all the work himself.  And finding time to work on it between work and soccer games and the yard and three kids and being scout master can be a bit tricky!  But we're used to using the hall bathroom anyway, so it's really no big deal.  Mostly just exciting!

Oh, and while we are at it, why don't we renovate the master closet too!

Lots of Random Pictures

Hi blog, I didn't forget about you.  Well, I kinda did, but not long term.  I've just been so busy lately and I'm trying to figure out how I used to have time and now I don't.  Kind of funny.  Maybe it's the third kid.  Not sure, because I now get up an hour earlier than I used to and I still feel like I have less time.

I do still want to blog though.  And there are a few things that I really want to blog about, but I'm currently sifting through 461 pictures I just got off my phone and until I go through them, here are just a few random ones that I like.

Cooper continues to love every baby food he tries.
My kids have enjoyed playing soccer the last two Saturdays.  Five more weeks of Saturday soccer to go.  Maybe this week I'll wear sunscreen and avoid getting sunburned again!
 Cooper likes his exersaucer.
Madeline LOVED going to kindergarten orientation.  Not sure how she's that old . . .
 I like watching Cooper sleep
and his bed head is so darn funny!
And he likes playing the piano.
And I like the cow Ethan drew.  A lot.

Hopefully soon, I'll post about Madeline's Ballet Recital and our bathroom excitement.  And lots of other things too!  Life has been really good lately!

Seven Months Old

Cooper:  Seven months old.  Loves eating.  Loves to laugh.  Loves his family.  Loves drooling on everything.  Sleeps through the night.  Still takes three naps a day.  Ticklish.  Lovable.  Wobbly.  Adored.

A $3,290.00 Dress

I fell in love with this Valentino dress from Nordstrom a while back.  But . . . cough . . . it costs $3,2900.00.  Not to mention it's not modest.  But look at how gorgeous it is.  I love the green.  I love the lace.  And with the black, it's just fabulous!  I love Nordstroms.  Just sayin.  This was one of those moments though, when I thought it was worth a try in the copying department.
Thanks to my mom, I now have the modest version for my very own.  And I'm quite proud to say it cost 1% of the price of the original.  Not too shabby eh?
You can't really tell in the picture, but my belt is a lovely little patent leather bow belt I found at Nordstrom Rack.  (I told you I liked Nordstroms).  It just seemed like it was meant for my dress.

It was fun to have my mom sewing for me again.  Just like the good old days.  My other favorite dress she ever made me was also lace.  Lace the entire length.  I just can't believe that that one was almost ten years ago.  Thanks for sewing for me mom.  It's kind of fun to have a Valentino inspired dress.  It made Easter especially nice.

Our Resurrection Garden

Another fun thing we enjoyed doing during this Easter season was making this Resurrection garden.  The kids had fun collecting the rocks and plants from our backyard to make the garden on Friday.
I purposely kept the dirt dry so the plants wouldn't stay looking lovely for long.  By Saturday afternoon, the garden was a lot less green and not nearly as pretty.  The kids said the garden was looking sad because Jesus was in the tomb.  Then on Sunday morning, I covered the garden with flowers and added a sign, "He is Risen".
They really loved it when they came up the stairs Easter morning.  Madeline was just sure the flowers had bloomed overnight to celebrate the Resurrection.  Until Ethan burst her bubble that is.  :)  But all in all, it was a great activity that helped the kids remember to true meaning of Easter.
