Date in Vancouver

Todd and I started our date yesterday at our favorite sushi place.  It is amazing every time.  I love sushi.

Then we stumbled upon La Casa Gelato
Not your average ice cream shop!
238 flavors in one store!  WHAT?!?!?  It was really hard to choose and I admit to having a lot of samples.  It was really crazy and super fun.  And of course, yummy!
Then off we went to the Carrie Underwood concert.
 I really liked it!

Fun fun evening/night!  Thanks to Gpa and Nana for being with the kiddos so we could have so many hours of fun!

There's a whole lot of beauty in my yard right now!  And if you do close-ups, you can't even see the weeds.  Heehee

Last day of Preschool!

Oh my!  I know I'm biased, but this kid is a cutie!!!
He made a lot of progress this year.  At the beginning of school, he drew a little scribble line on the O and that was it.  He's grown a lot, but I'm glad he gets another year of preschool.  That will be just right for him.  Love my Oliver!!!

May Days

The front door has another new look:
The pink was maybe perhaps a bit much for the hubby, though in his defense, he was very nice about it and wouldn't have been upset had I kept it.  I could tell a more orangey color might be a better choice.  But then I painted it and I have to admit, I miss the pink.  It really was the most perfect peachy blush pink.  sigh...you never know what color my door might be next week because I'm still not convinced.  Keeps life interesting at any rate!
Cooper has been an awesome soccer player this season.  It's fun to watch him play!

We are still working on being builders in our family.  I love this concept so much!  I hope I can get it to stick even just a bit with my children!
More wedding cake practice.  This is the look we'll be using for the wedding in June.

And, like always, my very crafty daughter has been at it again.  She made a Queen dragon out of craft felt like her other lego dragons.  It even can move it's legs and neck and jaw.  She impresses me every single time!

And Oliver brought me this really cute flower yesterday and said, "Here Mom, I brought this really pretty flower for you!"  He knows I love purple!
what a sweetie!

Wheels Day

Wheels Day is the BESTEST day of preschool ever!  That's what I heard from Oliver.  And watching him, I can see why!  Who wouldn't love riding along stopping at treat and activity stations for one beautiful hour?  Oh boy, he sure had fun!

He went to the "car wash" station FOUR times.  He scrubbed and scrubbed.  He told me he was trying to wash the girls off his scooter.  LOL!!  I guess that's what you get when the only three wheeled scooter in the house used to be Madeline's...

Mother's Day

Maybe I'm in the minority, but I LOVE Mother's Day.  I feel happy on Mother's Day.  I really really love my mother and I love being a mother too.  I love thinking about my mom and I love getting cute cards from my kiddos.  And not having to make dinner and spending the day with my favorite people.  It really was great!

Plus, I bought myself these sandals to wear (and I painted my toenails red to match before church)!  How can you not love a day when you get to wear these?!?!?
And I painted my front door the most beautiful color ever!  It's a funny story.  The men/boys in my life aren't nearly as smitten as Madeline and I are.  But they were very nice about it...I just laughed and called it another Mother's Day present to myself!
 Happy Mother's Day to meeeee!
 See how blessed I am?!?!
And Happy Mother's Day to my mom and Todd's mom.  And so many mothers I am grateful to have as friends.  I know and love some of the greatest women that will ever live.
