Have I ever mentioned that my master bathroom doesn't have a shower? It kind of blew my mind when we first looked at the house, but now I'm used to showering in the hall bathroom. And even though I really haven't minded, we've spent three years talking on and off about an awesome bathroom renovation. I honestly never thought it would happen. But this past month, the demo began. And now there is no turning back!!
Here is a picture I took of my master bathroom a month or so ago.
See, no shower. And as far as this tub is concerned, I never once even turned that faucet on!
It was pretty fun to watch Todd rip the bathroom apart. A few years ago, I might have been nervous, but now I know that Todd can pretty much do anything, so now I'm just excited about how it's going to look when it's done.
Goodbye bathtub.
Goodbye mirror and sink. And toilet. And disgusting carpet. Who puts carpet in their bathroom anyway?!?!
Hello space that used to be my bathroom! Um yeah, like I said...no going back now!
We have plans for a double vanity and a really big nice shower. We picked out the tile for the floor and shower and have possible cabinet options planned out. We have ideas for the kind of sinks we want, the counter tops. We've priced most of the stuff we need too. Add a fan to the bathroom. How about a skylight? Oh man, it's gonna be good! But it is going to take a long time. This isn't a quick project. Because my amazing hubby is doing all the work himself. And finding time to work on it between work and soccer games and the yard and three kids and being scout master can be a bit tricky! But we're used to using the hall bathroom anyway, so it's really no big deal. Mostly just exciting!
Oh, and while we are at it, why don't we renovate the master closet too!
