Ethan eats the same exact thing, in the same exact order, arranged the same exact way on his plate for lunch every single day. Grapes, sugar toast, apples, cheese. Most weekdays, lunch is a picnic on the beloved deer blanket just for fun.
This sugar toast is lovingly cut into the letters E (for Ethan) and T (for Todd, his middle name)I used to try and mix it up for him, giving him other things I know he likes, but each time he’d just look at me with his eyebrows furrowed and say, “No mom, I just want my normal lunch!"

oh boy that kid cracks me up! At least he likes healthy stuff and doesn't demand lunches of cookies and ice cream! And where did you get that blanket? It doesn't really fit the decor of the house.... :) Guarantee I have blankets of motorcycles at mine in the future. sigh. but whatever makes them happy, i guess.
Rachel- you are such a nice mom. First you lovingly give your children healthy lunches, as you teach them their letters. Then, you let them have a picnic everyday. I would love a picnic daily!
This is the kind of thing that I would be totally resistant to so I'm glad you remind me that it's ok to do what the little one wants, and not what I want. hahaha That makes me sound like the meanest mom ever! It has been a hard thing for me to learn though and I'm ever grateful for others who help me to keep getting better as a mom.

The traditions we create for our kids that they will never forget. The moments that are priceless. Isn't nice to know that they truly love what we do for them,even if it is everyday the same. I am inspired!!!
