In some ways it feels like these kids haven't been to school in years. The summer was so good and so long! I had lots of days where I really wished school would start, and some days where they just played so good together with their little brothers that I wished it never would. But here we are!
And Ethan's in MIDDLE SCHOOL now! How did that happen??? First day of Sixth Grade!!
He was totally excited! I was nervous for him; he didn't seem to be. He was more ready for school to start than I was.
Madeline was excited too but also nervous. Look at this beauty of a Fourth Grader!
It was so weird to not have Ethan going to the same school as Madeline. They didn't even see each other in the morning. Madeline doesn't wake up until Ethan is already gone.
They missed each other, and seeing each other after school was a real treat! Cooper and Oliver missed both of them the whole LONG day. I'm so glad my kids are friends with each other!
Here's to a new school year. New experiences, new friends and classes, and lots of driving for mom!
