Poor Ethan! His 4
th birthday was nothing like any of us had hoped . . . Ethan was sick! He threw up during breakfast and two more times later on in the morning. You have to understand too, that Ethan has NEVER thrown up. He was fine the day before, and seems fine today too . . . why did he have to get 24 hour flu on his birthday? I’ll be honest; I was more disappointed than even Ethan was. Things are always harder on the parent. Today, Ethan is happy because he got to open presents yesterday, his Grandpa and Nana are coming to visit with a gift tonight, and tomorrow we are going to have his birthday cake. He smiled big today and said, “Three days of birthday things!” I’m just glad he’s better today . . . and despite the sickness, we did manage to get a few pictures:

We gave him a wooden
IKEA train set. He's had fun all day playing with it. Hopefully I can post pictures of him with it, along with birthday cake pictures later on this week.

He takes after his dad!! I swear he was sick every year on Christmas... maybe the excitement is just too much. I hope he has a lovely post birthday celebration. We called my dad's cellphone to sing him a song, but heard he was sick. So happy birthday day after from us!
So sorry he got sick :( But looks like he had fun in the end. I see he has a new smile for the camera smile :)

Aww poor kid. It is sooo hard for us to watch them hurt or be ill like that. Glad he was happy in the end and feeling better.
