Creative Kids

I don't really like my kids playing on my bed. I'm just not a fan of the jumping, mostly because it scares me to death that one or both of them will fall off and get hurt. Madeline it still too little to climb up and get on my bed by herself and since Ethan and Madeline are pretty much always together, I don't usually have to worry about them playing on my bed. But yesterday, all on their own, they came up with a very effective way to get on my bed:
Ethan cleverly collected stools, bins, and chairs of all sizes from all over the house and lined them up shortest to tallest to make stairs!
Then they took turns climbing up . . . and sliding off into a pile of blankets . . . over and over and over:
Well, Madeline slid, Ethan jumped!

I was impressed that Ethan figured out a way to help Madeline get on the bed. He can climb up on his own without a problem. I guess things really are more fun with a friend.

Glad she was just sliding, you should see Alex jump off our bed. Though yours is a lot bigger than ours.

Ethan is so smart!

What fun that they play together so well. They are great kids! Just be careful you two!

Now that is inventive to say the least! And yes, Ryan and Ethan would be best buds. And Ryan, Ethan, and Lucas would be a site to behold!!!

Oh my goodness...I just LOVED this. I tried to get Madeline to climb up on a stool one day and she couldn't grasp the concept because I was there and why--for heavens sake--wouldn't you just pick me up, Mimi! Sure looks like they had fun. And, Lourie... Ethan Ryan and Lucas WOULD indeed have a blast together.
